Reflect (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Reflect web application.
Information We Collect
- Google Calendar (readonly) — Scope:
…/auth/calendar.readonly. Used to identify your one-on-one meetings to prompt reflection requests. We do not modify or delete your events. - Email Address — Scope:
…/auth/userinfo.email. Used to authenticate your identity and create your Reflect account. - Gmail Send — Scope:
…/auth/gmail.send. Used to send feedback requests and notifications on your behalf. Reflect does not read, access, or store inbox contents.
We request only the minimum data necessary to operate Reflect’s features.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate your account via Google OAuth and provide access to Reflect.
- Identify one-on-one meetings to generate reflection prompts.
- Send email notifications and feedback requests on your behalf.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Reflect service (including AI summaries).
We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage and Retention
We store only essential data (e.g., your email, reflection entries, meeting metadata). Calendar contents and Gmail message contents are not stored. Data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion at any time.
Data Sharing
We don’t sell or trade your information. We share data only with trusted service providers (e.g., cloud hosting) under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Reflect, our users, or the public.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest where applicable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your Choices
- Revoke Reflect’s access anytime via Google Account Permissions.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Children’s Privacy
Reflect is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be communicated in-app or via email. The latest version will always be available on this page.
